All about us:

Lottie and Leo are beautiful children who share a loving and caring relationship.  The children enjoy each other’s company and can play nicely together however they also enjoy independent play.

Lottie is described as being a happy, bubbly little girl who loves to talk and has a great sense of humour. Lottie is very engaging, however she can be wary of new people and seek the support and reasurance of her carers. Lottie loves anything to do with princesses, dressing up, dolls and role-play. She also enjoys arts & crafts and reading stories.

Leo is a cheeky, affectionate and beautiful little boy. He is curious and adventurous and full of fun. Leo is football crazy, loves his bike, cars, tractor and dinosaurs.  Both children enjoy playing marble run.  Leo enjoys watching ‘Bing’ on the TV and Lottie enjoys watching ‘Sofia’.

Both Lottie and Leo love being outside in the garden – they love playing on their swing, slide and sea-saw. They love visiting play parks, farms and the beach. The children have a good routine in place and sleep well, they currently share a bedroom which they enjoy.

Health:

Lottie and Leo are both good eaters and eat a varied diet. One of their favourite meals would be a Sunday roast and they love all salad items and fruit. They both also love having a pudding especially if this involves cake and custard. Lottie is fit and healthy and there are no concerns regarding her development. Leo’s general health is good, he is fit and active. He was born premature at 30 weeks gestation with a low birth weight and he needed a ventriculo peritoneal shunt (VP Shunt) for hydrocephalus placed at 3 months of age and a shunt revision at 2 years and 8 months of age. Leo remains under care of his Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and is currently reviewed yearly. Alcohol use during pregnancy for Lottie and Leo cannot be ruled out.

Type of family needed:

Lottie and Leo would benefit from a two-parent family, or a single adopter who has strong support around them. They must have an understanding of therapeutic parenting and the benefits of the attuned and respectful approach that this involves. This has been a big part of Lottie’s trauma recovery and it is felt that for her continued healing, this will be an important aspect of everyday family life in adoption for her.

Staying in touch plan:

It is proposed that there is indirect staying in touch once a year with birth parents.  Lottie and Leo have 2 older maternal sisters, one maternal brother and one paternal brother. It is proposed that indirect contact once yearly will take place with their older sisters and one of their brothers. For the other brother it is hoped that a virtual contact will be able to take place, alongside yearly letterbox.

Geographical considerations:

A placement outside of North and West Cumbria is needed for Lottie and Leo.
